Description :
Striking antique Victorian-style chaise lounge featuring an asymmetrical one-arm design, richly carved walnut frame and warm coral/salmon upholstery with a subtle dotted pattern. The dramatic carved back includes an ornate fan and foliate crest, with additional carved detailing extending along the back rail. Deeply padded seat and rolled arm give the piece an elegant, substantial presence. Approx. Measurements Condition Historical Note Estimated Value
70–78" W × 27–32" D × 34–40" H
Good antique condition with age-related wear to the wood, including scratches, scuffs and finish variation. Upholstery shows some wear, impressions and minor areas of discoloration. Back construction and older frame are visible in photos. See photos for details.
This form is commonly associated with late Victorian fainting couches and chaise longues, popular during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The asymmetrical profile, elaborate carved crest and dark walnut frame are characteristic of Victorian revival furniture influenced by Renaissance and Rococo design.
